The King's University is pleased to announce the signing of Ethan Armstrong to the Men's Volleyball roster for the 2020/ 2021 season.
Ethan is coming to TKU from Brandon, Manitoba but has spent the majority of his life in Rouleau, Saskatchewan. The 6'3" outside, provincial team hitter is graduating from Vincent Massey High School and this will mark his final season playing for the Brandon Volleyball Club, affiliated with Brandon University in Manitoba. In December, Armstrong was honored at the Manitoba High School Athletics Association All-Star graduate banquet for his dominant play throughout the fall.
"I am pleased with his caliber of play and he will undoubtedly have a very positive impact within our program," stated Head Coach Winand. "His drive to become better while demonstrating first-class character exemplifies what it means to be an Eagle and we welcome him with open arms".
This is not Armstrong's first encounter with Coach Winand as they worked together in his U16 club season. "I think knowing (Coach Winand), I know he will make me fit in and with the team, I can see that I fit in very well," said Armstrong after attending training sessions this week. "He has very intense practices and I know that I will be able to improve through that. All the boys are very close, and they all push each other in a good way. They show great leadership and are a very welcoming team".
Armstrong will be entering the Bachelor of Science program this fall. Welcome to King's University!
