New Head Coach

Roxanne Skoreyko joins The King’s University Athletics team bringing an impressive background as both a dual-sport varsity athlete and an elite endurance coach.

A rural Northern Alberta native, Roxanne holds a Bachelor of Kinesiology from the University of Alberta and a Bachelor of Social Work from MacEwan University, where she competed in varsity volleyball, cross-country, and track. Her collegiate career was marked by academic and leadership excellence, earning her Academic All-Canadian honors and the prestigious Christenson Whole Person Leadership Award.

Roxanne’s coaching credentials include working with the development of university athletes, serving as an apprentice coach at the 2025 Canada Summer Games, Head Coach for Zone 6 at the 2026 Alberta Summer Games, and Lead Endurance Coach with the Edmonton Thunder Track and Field Club. She currently holds Club Coach Endurance Certification and is finalizing her NCCP Performance Coach Certification.

Coach Skoreyko utilizes an integrated, athlete-centered approach that balances progressive physical training with mental resilience, autonomy, and team synergy. Her training program focuses on managing the physical components of training through suitable progression, teamwork and fun! She desires to meet athletes where they are at, promoting independence while also instilling the need for persistent courage, commitment and growth, where everyone strives together toward success. "I believe TKU provides the positive community environment needed to build a successful path forward," says Roxanne. "The university delivers exceptional education, and I am excited to see the launch of the new Kinesiology program for students looking to study their passion.

Outside of coaching, you can find Roxanne exploring Edmonton’s local coffee scene, running trails, reading and watching a variety of sports with family and friends.

Welcome Roxanne to The Eagles!
