Melissa Roque is a first year student at King's University studying a major in biology and a minor in psychology. She started playing badminton when she was around 8 years old at her dad’s badminton club WEJBC. At around 11 years old, Melissa began training competitively at B-active Badminton club to compete in provincial tournaments in Alberta. Finishing her junior circuit, she has earned the privilege to compete at national tournaments around Canada and to represent Canada in international tournaments like Junior Pan American Championships and World Junior Championships.
