Men's Soccer/Futsal

Evan Buist, another small town boy from Rimbey, Alberta, entered into hi commerce degree last year, and adjusted well to both the academics as well as athletics pace that King’s required. Evan showed a great attitude last season, and given the circumstances, found himself playing many minutes during the season. Earning the “most improved player” award last year, he started the season as a development player, and by the end of the season, earned “super sub” status as he scored a 90+ minute goal to keep his team in the match. Evan is looking to continue his development and technique during the summer and bring his gifts to his team.

Coaches Notes: “Evan has something special, and we saw that on day one when he tried out. We saw his ability, and knew there was something to be developed, but the thought process was there, he knew the correct things to do. His experience in basketball and hockey allowed him some good field vision, and it was just a matter of getting his body to follow his mind at a higher pace. He did so well, and earned MIP based on his work ethic. He is a strong student, and his honours status in his first year shows he is gifted in more ways than one.”
