Jonathan Ezoua graduated from Lillian Osborne High School, and is aiming to complete his Commerce degree at King’s. Coming from a season as a fullback playing centreback, Ezoua performed well under pressure. A quiet player, he plays with a quiet determination, and stays calm. If given the chance to take a shot, Ezoua has a rocket, and is well suited for futsal, when this opportunity arises more often. This ability to strike as well as clear the ball from danger means a great versatility, when he is in his natural fullback position.  Jon has a “lackadaisical explosiveness” to his game. He explodes and has a strong first step, and makes it look effortless, which can catch attackers off guard when they think they have beat him down the field. Jon recovers defensively really well, giving his team a chance to get behind the ball and play in shape.

Coaches Notes: “Jon is such an anomaly. He appears to be unmotivated or disinterested when he plays, but that is simply how he is. When Jon first came to us, we had no way of reading Jon or how to motivate him. But as he has grown with us and journeyed with us, he has become more social with the team.
