Kenan Helgren, hailing from Beaumont, leads the team from the centreback position. Captaining the squad last year, Helgren faced and thwarted some of the best attackers in the league, helping the squad concede the fewest goals in a single season ever. A Science major, Kenan breaks down the game well, reading the play in his favour to halt attackers, and build the play from the back. Kenan is one of the few athletes who has earned all 3 individual sport awards (Most Improved, Coaches Leadership, and Most Valuable Player) over the course of his time at King’s.
Coaches Notes: “Kenan is one of the most underrated centrebacks in the league, but the stats speak for themselves, he is a huge contributor to the team success over the last few years. A healthy Helgren is a much needed advantage for our squad, and we hope that he can continue to captain the squad to a playoff berth!”
